Soviet truck ZIS-5V; 1/100
Military version of the Soviet 3-ton truck. To simplify and reduce the cost of production, at the beginning of 1943, the following changes were made to the design of the ZIS-5 truck: a lightweight cabin made of plywood and wood was used (cladding boards were fastened with nails, the cabin roof was made of wooden slats, over which leatherette was stretched); the wings were made by simple bending from ordinary sheet metal instead of the early deep-drawn stamped ones on the pre-war model; brakes are left only on the rear wheels; the flatbed was made with only one tailgate and often a single headlight (left) was left. A number of stamped parts were replaced with cheaper ones, cast from cast iron.
Requires simple assembly using glue. In the photo the model is not glued, just joined, so it looks a little clumsy - don’t pay attention to it.
