Gavrila Oleksich (? —1241) - boyar of Prince Alexander Yaroslavich (Nevsky). On July 15, 1240, during the Battle of the Neva, Gavrila Oleksich became famous for his military prowess. Pursuing a noble Swedish knight, Gavrila tried to ride on horseback down the gangplank directly onto the Swedish ship.
