Grudzielsky Kazimierz (Kazimierz Grudzielski)
(1856-1921)
General of the Polish Army, commander of the northern front in the Greater Poland Uprising. Born in Turw Kościań powiet. Grudzielsky after high school of St. Mary Magdalene in Poznan graduated from military school in Potsdam, and then professionally served in the German army; rose to the rank of lieutenant colonel. In 1917 he retired. Since the beginning of the Wielkopolska Uprising became the commander of the People's Guard District Wrzesiński, then oversaw the creation of the northern front and the second military district. Organizer 2nd Wielkopolska Rifle Division and its first commander. Since June 1919 became inspector of infantry - the commander in chief, and later commander of the fortress of Torun. In January 1921, he was promoted to brigadier general, died shortly afterwards.
