In April 1942, at Uralmash began manufacturing bronekorpusov and towers of the T-34 for plant number 183. A July 28, 1942 Decree ¹ 2120 GFCS Uralmashzavod tasked to organize the production has all the T-34. Serial their release began in September 1942.
Designer IF Varhrushev and technologist, VS Ananiev, developed the design stamped towers, and from October 1942 to March 1944 they released the 2050 units. The plant has put a significant number of such towers on CHKZ. Directly tanks "Uralmash" gathered long - until August 1943. Then it became a major enterprise for the production of SPGs based on T-34.
