The 85th Vilnius Rifle Regiment (85th Infantry Regiment) is an infantry unit of the Polish Army in the Second Rzeczpospolita.
The regiment was formed in December 1918 as the Vilnius Rifle Regiment. During the war with the Bolsheviks of 1919-1920. was part of the 1st Lithuanian-Belarusian Division. In February 1919 he took part in the capture of Slonim and Baranovichi. During the Battle of Warsaw, he distinguished himself during the assault on Radzymin. In the battle on the Nemunas, as part of the Maneuverable Group, he participated in the passage through Lithuania to the rear of the Soviet troops in the direction of Lida, where, together with the Minsk Infantry Regiment, he tried to stop the attack of the 3rd Soviet Army. On October 8-15, 1920 he took part in the “uprising” of General Lucian Zheligovsky.
