Infantry division of the prince Lieven. Northwest army. White. Civil war in Russia 1917-1922.
Russian volunteer detachment in the Baltic States (Lievensky detachment). Began to be formed by the rittmeister of the Imperial Guard, the Grand Duke Anatol von Lieven in Libau. On January 15, 1919, the formation was completed and, by agreement with the Baltic Landeswehr, the detachment became part of it. The detachment, along with units of the Latvian army and the Baltic Landeswehr, fought against the Red armies in Courland. In July 1919 the detachment relocated to Estland and joined the North-Western Army as the 5th ("Lievensky") Infantry Division (its 1st to 3rd regiments became, respectively, the 17th Libava, 18th Riga and 19th Poltava). It was part of the 1st Army (Rifle) Corps. Actively participated in the battles with the Bolsheviks, took part in the attack on Petrograd (St. Petersburg). December 25, 1919 disbanded.
Lieventsy were outfitted and armed with German military depots.
A set in the scale of 28 mm, cast from white metal. The set includes a paper banner of the 17th Libavsky regiment. Figures are not painted. Glue and paint are absent.
