The set of figures depicts the Makhnovist cavalry (anarchists) during the Civil War in Russia.
The set includes a model of a tachanka - a high-speed sprung cart with a machine gun mounted on it. Makhno's army favorably differed from its opponents in that it moved very quickly and could deliver swift unexpected strikes, after which it could just as quickly disappear, escaping pursuit. This was possible due to the fact that the overwhelming part of the army moved on such tachankas, becoming, in fact, the prototype of the motorized infantry. Also, thanks to the tachankas, the Makhno army had the ability to quickly maneuver machine-gun fire on the battlefield, instantly focusing the fire of a large number of machine guns in the required place, giving a great advantage to the anarchist army in battle.
The figurines are cast in white metal. Not painted.
