Good morning (at least here ) Michael
How is your little princess, keeping you busy?
If you look at

POLISH REVOLUTIONARY FORMATIONS (MAY 1917-1920)
it seems, the question is more complex.
If it is possible for you eventually to loan the mentioned book through your inter-library system, it would be interesting.
Perhaps it is possible to find it in a second hand book shop, if so I am interested in buying a copy.

Thanks.
I hope you find it, even if it perhaps can be difficult to find second hand.

From "The Transcaspian episode 1918-19" by Col E C Ellis, the Austo Hungarian Pows were held at camps in Samakand and Tashkent which came under bolshevik control. When the bolsheviks needed to quickly raise forces to recapture Turkestan , the Pows were told to either "enlist or starve". No doubt there were some who were genuine bolshevik political volunteers, but according to the book most just wanted to cross over to the Indian and British forces, especially when the defeat of Germany and its allies became known.
